Updating a LM7 for transplant

Hi: I bought a 2001 LM7 with 107000 miles on it to drop in place of the tired 350. I was wondering if there is any maintenance update that I should do before dropping the engine? Any seals or gasket that these engine might be prone to fail?
Also is there a mild and easy performance upgrade that I can do without affecting the reliability of the engine considering it has 107000 miles on it? Cam upgrade for example?
It is going to be daily driver, nothing wild but we all enjoy a little more power.
Thanks,
