Blower motor not turning on at all

I have a 2005 Chevy silverado crew cab 1500, recently the blower motor stopped coming on at all in any speed. Temp controls changes still work, just no blower at all. It started by being intermittently not blowing then quit completely and now i have a service airbag light as well, I did have an accident in the truck a couple years ago that deployed the airbag but never had issues after it was replaced till now. Any ideas or simple fixes, its my daily driver and currently these are my only issues with it.

Re: Blower motor not turning on at all

pretty sure theres a recall on this, something to do with the blower motor resister or something. may be worth calling a dealer

Re: Blower motor not turning on at all

The "Auto" HVAC system doesnt have a recall for the resistor, Only the manual HVAC system.

If you have Auto HVAC....Tap on the blower motor while the blower is activated....If it starts running....Replace the blower.

If you have Manual HVAC....Check for melted pin terminals at the resistor....Then go in for "possible" warranty work.
