Late to the thread, googling for a second battery tray for a
backup battery and found this thread. Does this tray go on the
drivers side, replace the window washer reservoir?

Yes it goes on the drivers side. The window washer reservoir goes on the pass fender. I have made the window washer reservoir bracket. See post http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=668601.

The aux battery was used on camper special trucks. The aux battery was used for the slidein camper and isolated it from the primary battery so it would not run it down.

So if the truck is off, key out, and I listen to the radio until it goes dead, The main battery is still ok and and I can start the engine?

I'v have everything but the battery tray. I have not had enough response to make the battery tray. Golden State was making it but was priced higher than mine. Check with them.
