3:55 gears

Hi guys can anyone tell me the benefits of 3:55 gears in my c10. .?

I have a 383 stroked and just feel it should be pulling a lot harder or quicker if that’s the word ....the torque is there but not as quick as I thought it would be

Re: 3:55 gears

You need to know:
-Ring & pinion gear ratio
-Tire height (in.)
-Transmission gear ratios
To determine what your looking for.
You can use an online calculator to help you determine where you want to be: https://spicerparts.com/calculators/...rpm-calculator
