June 2017 ToTM

Our Truck of the Month (ToTM) theme this month’s contest is

Flotilla!

In case you cannot guess thru our semi-sorta nautical reference, this month is dedicated to our fleetside or wide bed trucks. In order to compete in this month’s contest, you will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Open to all year fleetside trucks.
  • The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck.
  • It must be road worthy and currently legal to be on the road.
  • The truck must be together and able to move on its own power.
  • If a truck was selected as a 2016 or 2017 TOTM winner then you are ineligible. If the truck was nominated but not selected as a TOTM winner then it may be nominated and compete in this month's category.
To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle.

Nominees will run through May 23. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up by May 24 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of May 31 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of May 31. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

I've never managed to fit into a category before, so will nominate my own truck... assuming that's OK to do :-)

I nominate my truck.

ajviper

1971 Chevrolet K10 Short Bed

The old 71 is a work in progress. I picked it up on Feb 14, 2014. My first truck. It was a LWB and I converted it to a SWB with a frame and bed I picked up.
Sports a 454 TH350 NP205 now. Hoping to go back to the original Medium Bronze at some point. It has been an ultra reliable daily driver for me.

I wanted to nominate my truck, but after seeing these nice trucks, I better wait for the 'its rusty but running' month.

For the record, this contest isn't fair. I can't vote enough times
