Re: Why is the board running this slow?

It's just like that Model T you bought new Mr. Longhorn!
You need to change the crank handle!
Or rear back and give it a boot. Or a re-boot.
It's working fast up here!!

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

Crazy,
It's not you, it is the board. Dozens of times when I have tried to switch pages, it takes forever. Many times I get the page telling me to try later. I know it is not my provider because I have checked speed when that happens and my speed is good.

Several times I have gotten so frustrated I just logged off and went to a different board. I did send an email asking if they were aware of the issue, or if they were doing anything about it, and I got no response. I love the content of this board, and enjoy the people, but that is the one negative I have found. Unfortunately it seems to be happening more and more.

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

With my slow connection, I seem to always have some sort of issue. Personally I think it's tied to whatever add is loading on the top of the page.

Maybe this should be in general or site feedback?

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

Does that to me occasionally. I just close the window, wait a few seconds and reopen. If it still does it, I close it again and just wait longer. That's the internet for you.

The majority of the time, site works fine. Just have to be patient.

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

I've used adblock to disable all the BS as much as possible, and that helped a lot.
But in primetime, still pages can load slowly.
Sometimes clicking stop, and then refresh makes a page open right up.

That 1st model T that I purchased, just did not give any problems....other than you had to back it up a long hill(no fuel pump)! The crank handle was under warranty from Ford, & I did not have to shut it down, & close all the windows just to restart it Its running now, but I did get a message from Mediacom, about service repairs in my area....I sure miss that old T tho Longhorn

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

Add block? How does that work?
I hated accidentally hitting my caps lock button but have found a way to disable it. No more frustration!
I would LOVE to kill all those internet slowing ads!

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

Sites been really busy at night lately. The server auto updates and changed some setting son me. I have tweaked them and it should improve speed and accessibility for now, After the first of the year i am going to upgrade to a more powerful robust server to alleviate the slowdowns and issues.

Re: Why is the board running this slow?

The token is usually a cookie issue on your end. Sometimes clearing your cookies for the site and signing back in will resolve it. However, if it is timing out the service could be restarting and invalidating the token and causing that also. It should run smoother with the new settings until I can get an upgrade in place.
