I have seen on other truck just like it in my county, but that is is. It is tough to fix up because the interior color is not the common black, blue, tan, or red. I can't just buy door panels to freshen it up. I have the original dash pad, but my wife bought me a black one that is polyurethane. I thought I could get it to paint well with adhesion promoter, but it was a disaster. It all came off during installation. I may prep it by dulling the finish, installing it, and painting it in place. The seat is recovered as well. I don't know how close to original the color is although I like it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

the reason i put a different body on it is my cab mounts in the old cab and the floors in the old cab where completely gone and the cab had sagged to resting on the frame about a year after i got it and the top it the windshield rusted out and was leaking along with the rockers and cab corners wheel wells were also rotting badly... gotta love MN winters!!! lol so the new body is from montana and is almost completely rust free

well i pulled the d44 out of my 73 and put a d60 in it and i seem to have a problem keeping perfectly good parts laying around and not putting them to good use and all the front end parts in my 93 are SHOT so i thought to my self why not get rid of the IFS and put my straight axle in it lol. WAY less moving parts, easier to maintain, stronger, AND it looks awesome haha

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Neat truck! This is the second RHD that's has popped up in the last month or so. It looks converted, older under dash "dealer installed" A/C box, newer sanden? comp, customized evap box, plugged brake booster hole, hood popper still on the left side, custom dash, blower motor relay on the valve cover? windshield wipers moved to operate the opposite direction. And I'm glad someone didn't cut up the radio hole to put in that Cd player.

Can we see a picture of the lower dash from the other side between the ash tray and driver area? That would be a complicated area to mirror.

Thank for your words and welcome to the forum!
Very nice place for talking trucks and get help!
Your truck looks way cool too and i assume from your signature that you race it!
Unfortunately the parts a really expensive over here because otherwise iŽd love to put in a healthy 383 and a 5 speed manual tranny and go autocrossing!
Show all the shortbeds that we can do it better!

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

you can freeze meat in the cockpit with that a/c

it was imported into australia in 2000, not long after, someone converted to rhd, added a new fuel system (lpg) which could explain the evap box mod?

she runs on petol and gas, however i prefer to have the 2 petrol tanks, one is missing.

damn hard to get part over here, import tax and freight from usa is crippling.

i can see the knowledge in here already, I'm glad i came to the place.

if you want more pics let me know.

does anyone know where i can find the trim plate/card?

Being an '80 making it even more unique with the 1 year only fr end, nice.
There has been a early 68-72 right hand drive for sale in my area for a while, It doesn't seem to be selling but cool anyway.
