Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget

ebay headlights came in today, the other of road light, cover, headlight bubls, and the marker as well as the signal light bubls are all on the way and claim to be here tomorrow.

my door handles are shipped, not sure when they'll be here, and hopefully the money order for the marker sockets gets to rockauto sooon as well as the money order for my marker lights themselves.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget

got myself a license frame today for the front, to go on my heartbeat of america plate..

http://www.andysautosport.com/nissan...o00000889.html

I got it local from autozone though, same exact plate in that link.

Also ordered some skull license bolts since autozone had none and a shift knob.

Amazon.com: Pilot WL915C Chrome Skull License... Amazon.com: Pilot WL915C Chrome Skull License...
Amazon.com: Mr. Gasket 9628 Chrome-Plated Skull... Amazon.com: Mr. Gasket 9628 Chrome-Plated Skull...
gonna get another knob, that way I can use one on the trans shifter on the coloumn and one for the 4wd floor shifter.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget

just scored a FREE set of bfg's size 285/75-16's, supposed to be equal to 33 12.50's They measure in no air no rim at 31.5 inches tall and around 9.5-10 wide on the tread itself. They got over half tread left or right at half, enough to last me for a while, plus I'll know how close I am to running 35's.

I think the size that is supposed to be equal to the 33's, are the 305/75s. My dad runs 265/75 16s, and they're 31s. So I can see why 285 would be 31.5.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget

265/75's are like a 31 10.50 but 285 75's and 305/70's are like 33 12.50's the same tire a bfg 285/75-16 on summits website the specs are it's a 33 inch tall and 11.xx wide

I just threw a tape on em to check and that's what I got.

here's some better pics.....

weather cleared up so I cleaned them all up and then threw on some tire black.

Re: My 88 buildup on a tight budget

the 305 specs, they are 305/70's

Tire Diameter 33.00 in.
Section Width 12.20 in.
Tread Width 12.00 in.

link:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-33393/

the 265/75's are..

Tire Diameter 31.80 in.
Section Width 10.50 in.

link..
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-71887/

and my 285/75's are..

Tire Diameter 33.00 in.
Section Width 11.30 in.

link..
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-49291/

why they made 2 tires almost exactly the same size but labeled them as different numbers I have no idea. the 305/70's and 285/75's are pretty much the exact same, just a 305 is wider.
