Help with extra Wire

I have been looking for awhile and I cant seam to find where this extra little wireof the distributer cap goes. It runs fine it is a 72 GMC with a SB 350. Anyone have any ideas?

Um it goes to the condensor beside the coil? It should be under the "+" wire on the coil.

Are you talking about the yellow wire or the one that goes to a condenser?

Where does it run too? Track it down, then you will be able to use the schematics on this site to know for sure.

Looking at his pic it looks to come directly from the condenser. Its black, the yellow wire is already hooked in. Goes to plus side of the coil just like MARKDTN stated.

How about to the starter solenoid to provide 12 volts to coil during start ?
