Collector car insurance

Anyone recommend a good collector car insurance co. (Hagerty, Grundy, etc.). I have never had to insure a collector car before!

Re: Collector car insurance

I have all mine with Hagerty for many years and very happy with them .You have to keep your car or truck in a locked space but I have unlimited miles on my policy. I have heard good things about Grundy as well but no personal experience .

I just signed up with Hagerty. There's a few rules you must follow to be accepted by them, but for must of us it's mainly common sense. Will save me almost $1K per year.

Re: Collector car insurance

I have my 1969 SS camaro and 1972 jimmy 4x4 with Grundy and I'm very Happy with them. Rates are very reasonable. A couple of years back I was in a accident with my camaro and called in a claim. They were absolutely wonderful! No questions asked got an adjuster to look at the car next day and had a check for all the repairs in a week or so!!! I highly recommend Grundy!

Re: Collector car insurance

I drive my 71 Blazer to and from work, which is 1 1/2 miles away, and occasionally around town. Daily basis less than 10 miles a day. If I go into town less than 30 miles that day. Does anyone know if I could use any of the collectors car insurance company's mentioned above?

Re: Collector car insurance

I use Hagerty. Good rates. 20 years ago when I got collector car insurance, Grundy would not insure 4x4's.
