New carb for a 250 L6?
Recently I've started to notice some hiccups in the performance of my carburetor so I've decided to buy a new one. The only thing that I am stuck on is do I buy another 1 barrel or a 2 barrel? What are your opinions/experiences with these?

Be aware of local auto parts store rebuilt one barrel carbs. They are pieced together from multiple units and sometimes dinged pretty bad. I haven't had luck with them in the past and decided to start rebuilding them myself. I keep two or three used but good units in my garage just for that purpose.

2 barrel holleys or webers are good choices. 2 barrel weber 32/36 is a decent choice.

I have the Weber 32/36 and have been quite pleased with it. If I knew anything about carb tuning I would probably be even happier with it.
