Post How common are...............

67 Chevy big back window cabs? After finding my 67 SWB 4x4, I'm really fond of no side marker lights and like the looks of the big window instead of the small. After seeing pics of ProSt68Trk, I'm looking for a 2wd to build but prefer a 67 big back window.

Am I looking for the impossible? Should I just figure on finding a 68-newer cab and running a 67-68 front clip? I can always fill the side markers on a bed and order 67 front fenders. I appreciate your input on my delima.

You could get a '68 cab for your '67, but the large window '67 is a tough truvk to find...I dunno if I would say rare or not, but it is tough to find one.
Pesonally, I kinda like the small window. A pain to check traffic when doin 90 or so on the free way, but better lookin IMO.

If your are doing a custom or rod, every thing doesnt match anyway. I think I would go for a 68,then the cab & frame numbers match.....then just shave it. Good luck....69 longhorn.

Good idea 69 longhorn, I think I will go in that direction. By the way, what are 67-68 front clips worth? I know where there is 2 front clips but would like to have an idea of what they are worth before I start to deal. I know it will depend on conditon so lets just say that they are in decent condition, complete.

Thanks again..........

Pont... Using a newer big-window cab is how I'm building my 67 restorod now. Much easier to find a good 72 cab than it was finding a 67. I've seen all original front clips for 67-8 go from 200-500$ up but it depends on who your dealing with, their situation & their location.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Scoti, that may be the way I have to go. I'm not looking for anything original at all as this will be a resto/rod. Maybe I'll just use the cleanist 67-72 swb c10 I come across and stick a 67-68 nose on it.

Bo, I also have a 67 big window (no air) so if they are more common than we thought, I'll just have to keep my eyes open for another one.

Why Rod? Is it that bad? I could just as easily build a GMC if any are ou there to be had. Yeh, not a bad idea, a 67 big window Chevy and a 67 big window GMC! I like it!
