im installing a heater on a 50 3100. it didn't have a heater when i got ahold of it. I'm waiting to see some pictures of the inside and outside of the heater setup. i believe i have all the parts. my biggest question is needing to see how the control valve mounts and work. thanks in advance

There were about 10 different heaters you could get or install . post up what you have.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ agreed with what they said. There were standard and deluxe factory heaters that were either factory or dealer installed, holes should be there for either if someone didn't fill the firewall in. Add to that there were dozens of aftermarket heaters you could buy and you can buy new Heater only units from Vintage Air and others. The new ones cost less than trying to fix an old one.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
