A-833 4wd mount bolt thread size?

A833 4wd t-case adapter, can't identify the bolt thread for mounting to the crossmember. Picked the unit up wiht no mount on it so no original bolts to compare. Both metric and SAE will thread in 1/2" or so then jam, can't tell if it's thread damage or wrong thread. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Thanks!
