SM465 Top Cover Troubles

During my SM465 reseal project I installed the top cover wrong and it would not shift.
After doing some research and removing the top cover again I am trying to put everything back into neutral.
I am not able to move the 3-5 synchronizer collar ahead to get it in to neutral.
I have rotated and move every gear trying to get it to move but seems like it is stuck and will not move forward into neutral. The 1-2 shift collar moves freely forward and back but doesn't seem to help with moving the front. I'm sure there is something I am missing but can not think of what it is. Any ideas?

Re: SM465 Top Cover Troubles

I know this is late, but I had the same problem with my 3-4 gear. It seemed that no amount of force would move it. Then I wound giving the keys (or dogs or pawls or whatever you ant to call them) on the synchro each a healthy dab of Red Line assembly lube. Then I poked them down a little with a screwdriver. When I was poking down the second one (out of three) and putting slight pressure on the slider it slid into place. With very light hand pressure.
