Lq4 valve spring recommendations?

Just bought a Vinci ultra tourque cam for my 6.0. He recomended not using the stock springs. Was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for replacements? He has some but they are 300 and just not in the budget as the wife is not happy about the money already spent. (Chewed lifter and cam) the heads are off for new lifters so now is the time if I can find a set that's affordable.

Re: Lq4 valve spring recommendations?

Put some LS6 valve springs in there. They are dirt cheap, and that cam is almost the same lift as the LS6.

Re: Lq4 valve spring recommendations?

Retainers, locks, and valve seals should all work. Those springs are a direct replacement for stock truck springs. Don't forget to check your pushrod length with that new cam.
