Cb antenna

hello I have a 72 blazer trying to keep it all original I am wanting to install a CB and I am wondering what you guys do for antenna mount and location what was popular in 72?

I plan to weld this up when I get to the body work, but this is what the original owner did.

The cb antenna on my green blazer was mounted to the top just above the gas cap - there's a little bracket that secures the front end at the windshield frame.

We need pics of all 4 corners of your Blazer. I know several ways to mount the antenna without drilling new holes (spare tire carrier mounts, between cap and bed, hood brackets etc)

I was thinking of mounting antenna to the hard top my blazer is completely original so I would like to keep it as few of holes as possible lol

You can get stainless steel mounts for it that fit between the cap and bed. They use stainless for many reasons including conductivity, strength and rust resistance. There are also mounts that clamp to your spare tire carrier and mounts that bolt to your front fender bolts.
