Re: 68 project

I should, I have quite a few pictures through the stages and a lot of major bumps in the road. Very similar trucks to start with gmc step 400 sb 200r and I'm all about old school!Keep up the good work.

It was great to spend some time with the wife this afternoon at the truck shop she got a lot prepped for primer while I worked on some other stuff.

I moved here from northern PA 24 years ago and you couldn't drag me back north, my wife is originally from VA and she said this is her home, no where else

Re: 68 project

Are those willwood D52 calipers and pads. If so how is the inboard brake pad held in place? The reason im asking is because I ordered a set of D52 calipers. People have said they didn't like how pad fit.

Yes that is correct, I am not sure yet but I will let you know for sure. I like the quality of the caliper for sure though

I will probably get them bolted on either this evening or tomorrow and will post some pics and feedback on the installation. I am going to order the line kit also for the D52 brake calipers.

They float between the caliper and the disc. They just ride on the caliper bolt. here's a quick article (PDF) that wilwood put together for the D52 install.
https://www.wilwood.com/pdf/howtosto...ke_Install.pdf

I have them on my 71 and don't have any complaints about the fit. Just the brake dust. The pad material puts off a lot of dust.

I don't blame you. I've been running mine for about a year now and couldn't remember for sure. I had to find something with some pics to be sure it didn't have a clip or something.

I take it the wood is for your bed? What kind of wood is it?
