Re: Spotted a rare Yenko panel truck?

The engine in that little black car next to it looks really familiar to me...

I like it, other than the Yenko part.

Re: Spotted a rare Yenko panel truck?

This truck was at a Mecum auction a couple of years ago.....they called it not sold with high bid of 25000.00.
According to their spec sheet it was a matching numbers big block

If verified it would be the first big block panel that I have heard of.

Re: Spotted a rare Yenko panel truck?

I've seen pics of that panel elsewhere. Not sure if its actually a Yenko, or "what Yenko should have done". I've always liked the Yenko cars, and wish I had the means to get my hands on a '69 Yenko Chevelle.
After I saw that, I started to consider a "Baldwin-Motion" or "Dana" Burb for my own Burb. Big Motor, a stingray hood scoop, and some stripes... Might be fun, and I'm sure I'd have to answer thousands of questions wherever I go.

Re: Spotted a rare Yenko panel truck?

It was listed as "Yenko inspired"...no claim was made that was done by Yenko.
Apparently from Walnut , Illinois...so it has not travelled far.

Claimed to be a numbers matching 402 big block...which would make it very rare in a panel.

If you see the truck again have a look and see if the SPID is there...and looks original.
