Question Flowtechs ????

Anyone using these mufflers or have ever used them? How do they sound? Low rumble or glass pack sound? And which one did you have? Theres about 8 different ones to choose from.

Thats a subjective question. What sounds like a low rumble to you might be just loud to me and not loud enough to the next guy. You also need to remember that your carb and exhast system has a lot to do with it. Headers are going to be a bit louder than manifolds. Flowtech makes a good muffler. If your looking for a nice mellow tone, go with a turbo muffler.

Loved my Supertraps

But they sound like they are shot. yes they are supposed to be rebuildable but Summit told me today that they have changed since I got mine and they dont know if I can still get the right stuff to rebuild them. I had bought the stainless so they would last. Pretty expensive. To replace them would cost about 200 and dont know if I wanna go that much again. Like the sound of Flows but dont wanna sound like everyone else. Whats a guy to do?

I have the Flow Tech Afterburner with headers and 21/2pipes. It is quieter than the flowmaster, louder than the dynomax turbo. I have run all kinds of mufflers over the years and i like this one the best but that is just my opinion. It even sounds better than the high dollar borla I had on the Z-28.and they were only 40$ each with a lifetime warranty

They are not sure I can get the new stuff to rebuild my Traps, so I guess I may be in the market for some new ones for sure. I like the sound of Flowmasters but wont get them because thats what everyone else has it seems. Supertraps again? I likem but dont know if I wanna pay that again. Leaning to the flowtechs.
