There was a decently clean looking 72 GMC Burb on the Charlotte Craigslist...

Re: Anyone know of any suburbans

I feel your pain, Jos. I've been looking for a '71 or '72 Suburban for about a year with no luck.

I use Google to search Craigslist for a 1972 Suburban by Googling "site:Craigslist.org 1972 Suburban -schwinn -sears". The "-schwinn" and "-sears" filter out all the bikes and lawn mowers that come up.

Even better, use something like searchtempest.com that actually searches craigslist for you, searching multiple cities at once within a certain driving distance.

Thanks for the hint. Is there a way to preview the searchtempest.com results? I like the feature in Google that allows you to see the ad at the right of the page by hovering over the ">>".

Re: Anyone know of any suburbans

Spons, there are a few in the Nashville area. Depending on what you are looking for.

My buddy who lives a half mile down my road has this one for sale, he'll take less:

Thanks for the link, but I think that one's a little too far gone for me right now. I'm looking for something I can drive now and restore later.

I'm also pretty set on having factory AC - and preferably a '72 with front and rear units.

One more thing - I'm a "restorer" and not a "modder" so the closer to original to start with the better.
