i need power steering.HELP! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I just got a 52 about a month ago and have come to the conclusion that I want(need)power steering.It would make it alot more enjoyable to drive,and park.the steering wheel itself is probably the worst part on the truck,almost to the point the pieces are breaking off and all craked,so it needs replaced over winter.it was restored to stock about 4 yrs. ago,but the original steering wheel has seen better days.so,instead of buying an aftermarket one for $250,I'd rather put the money into P.S. and a smaller wheel.
So,my question is,how do you go about it?I dont mind the "stockness"of the truck,and dont want to "rod" it,just want P.S.I love this truck and cant wait to drive it when nice wheather comes back around.
Thanks in advance for any info if anyone has added P.S. to one of these trucks,or for info that may lead me to purchase the stuff needed.
