This has got me stumped,....

I personally removed these rear door stops from a 59 suburban to sell on ebay.

Someone emailed me saying that these are not original.

He said he is well knowledged in 55-59 burbs and panels, as well as having owned many himself.

I am not doubting him, just looking to find out if these are not original so I can revise the description to make it accurate.

I want everyone to know that I am in no way trying to advertise anything on this board.

I have a legitimate problem and am seeking information to correctly identify these parts.

There are no numbers on these parts, and were attatched with fine thread phillips head bolts with stationary star lockwashers.

The holes on the long end are 1-1/2" apart center to center, and the small end they are 1" apart center to center.

My question is this:

If these are not original factory parts, then could these be old aftermarket parts?

Or are these from another vehicle and someone put these on long ago?

The doors opened and closed normally, and I would not have ever give it a thought that these were not original to that truck.

There's even gold paint on them from when someone painted the interior a long time ago.

If anyone could tell me if these are original, or what they are from, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, redline_chevy
