71? Dana 44 front axle 1/2 ton
Guys, I sure could use some serious help on this.... last spring I tore my front axle completely apart for cleaning, coating, and new seals and bearings, the works.... After getting it apart, it got way to hot in my shop to work on it, so I put it on the back shelf till now.... needless to say, I threw away all the old parts because I was getting all new, yes I know, that was a BIG mistake... Now I can not find the correct parts for this axle, all seals that I get from the parts stores are wrong, some of the bearings, and the axle u-joints, so now I am wondering if this is the correct axle for the year and model.... They have a number stamped into the axle, but no one seems to have a way to cross this number over to identify what this thing came out of.... Can any of you steer me in the right direction? I would surely appreciate it....
