Rocker panel repair

on my new 05, the rockers are still solid but no paint is there any longer. What should I do? clean it up, POR and rhinoline? or just paint it back to factory?

Re: Rocker panel repair

You could por them. If the paint has been all chipped/flaked away and they have some surface rust you could sand the rust to bare metal (if there are any pits, grind them out the best you can), clean it off well with a degreaser, give it a quick shot of an etching primer and a couple coats of paint and clear to match your vehicle. If you'd prefer for extra protection in the future and satisfaction, finish up with some rocker guard and paint to match if you'd like. Just a few suggestions. Goodluck!
