Now the dash pad, sun visors, dash vents, and door panels all match the same black. I like it better than the two tone blue interior.

This antenna suits me better. Don't have the am radio working, just for looks so an ice fishing rod took it's place.

Thanks it was a lot cheaper doing them then buying new. These were about 20 bucks to make the pair vs 80.

Thanks man, I have talent but not a lot of money. I've put about 350 to 400 miles on it now and it seems good. Then on Tuesday it stuck in third and wouldn't shift out. It's been to hot out to drive so I haven't checked it. Lots more to do but winters coming so I'll do it then.

Re: 67 long box

I got the call today about the electrical implant I'm receiving for migraines , booked in next Thursday. Crappin my pants now, it's real and surgery is happening. Crossing my fingers that it helps. 6 weeks with wires coming out of my head hooked to battery and controller. No more working on the truck for a bit just driving it.

Re: 67 long box

Took it to a local show and parked beside an impala. We look to be at the same height. I've put almost 1000 km on it now and I still have all the parts. I did adjust my lifters as one was a little noisy, so I replaced the rocker and now it sounds normal. Almost time for a good trip to test it. Looking at the tailgate it's hard to tell it was modified to line up with the raised bed.

Re: 67 long box

That looks like the same place my wife had her incision, different problem but classified as brain surgery because they went into that area under the skull, I kinda had a little flash back from looking at your pic.. Thanks for the update, i really hope this works out for you!

Thanks it has been helping a bit but the headaches are still there. The stimulator electrodes are on the side and back of scull in the migraine trigger points.

Re: 67 long box

I know I'm not supposed to be out working on the truck but it's just sitting there, waiting for next mod, the next piece, a little tweak here and there. I made up a set of cowl screens from gutter cover screen. Looks better and keeps the crap out.

Re: 67 long box

Final putting some hours in my bar stool. New disc brakes, fuel lines, repaired the bubba fuel cell and a good cleaning.

Re: 67 long box

Here is my testament to not having wood boards and doing the composite decking. Took my barstool out for some fun at a show with the truck and parked them in the garage after. The next morning I went out to find the gas tank on the barstool had emptied onto the bed splashing across four or five boards. I wiped it up and no damage, had that been varnished wood it would have been wrecked.

Re: 67 long box

Out to another show and I even washed the tires to go, still haven't wash the truck. I love it quick wipe over the dash, brush the dirt off the vinyl floor and a quick dust under the hood.

Re: 67 long box

I was having problems with my distributor, bad coil resistance, end play of more than .050", and the mag pick-ups had shiny spots on them like they had touched (bad bearings) just worn out. So in with a new plug and play model.

Re: 67 long box

What a great build. This proves once again you don't need a truckload of money to build a solid truck! Cheers!

Thanks man, it has been fun and a lot of work. It's never done till it sells so this one will never be finished. The truck is solid to drive and without a lot of money spent. I got a set up the dizzy tomorrow and up to another car/swap meet to find more cheap parts. It's all about the build for me.

I have it on my calendar and I'm going to try to make it. Just got back from a show in Paris today. Trucks running better I've got a carb kit coming in this week so with a fresh carb rebuild. The distributors in and I'll dial that in after the carb work. Hoping to see you there.

Re: 67 long box

The doc took out the trial implant today and now to let the area heal for a month. Then a new complete internal implant will be put in. This is great news as it has helped enough to go ahead with the implant. Down side is no more welding which is what I love to do. I can still do everything else but weld. Time to teach my daughter to weld.
