I made the frame brace in my welding class, I need to clean up the welds on the frame where I boxed and repaint.

50adrod,
I'll get more vids once I get the frame completed, It need to be retuned but I bought EFILIVE and going teach myself how to tune these motors.

I tried using the stock LS1 plastic tank and got it to work but wasn't happy with it. Started searching for something else and came up with this from seeing others do it with 80s style GM tanks. I also use the Vetteworks idea for the rings.
I bought a 1970 Mustang/Cougar 22 gallon tank which is 9.75" deep, the LS1 pump unit is ~10.5" tall and can be compressed. I cut the hole in the tank for the fuel pump, got bucket to sit correctly, made rings out out of 3/16" plates and tack welded one plate to the tank, I was very carefull not to burn holes.
Then set the fuel pump bucket with the rubber o-ring in the tank on top of the plate then sandwiched that with the other plate and bolt it down.

Just a note: I like to do and make things if I think I can, so I'll look for ideas and use them to meet my needs and try to save a few dollars to use elsewhere on the truck, and I do support vendors when necessary.

Hey Tri5, I noticed you mentioned your welding class and I also noticed you are close to Kabwe and I know he's here in SoCal. I'm thinking of taking welding so where are you going? I'm wondering if you'd recommend the place you're going?

Dan, the class I was taking is not offered anymore due to cutbacks in California, thanks Arnol.
I really don't know where to find a class now. So I'm trying to better my skill as I work on my truck.

I started the notch and ran into an issue which was that the calipers from the orginal narrowed 9" was hitting the notch when the frame was lowered. So I got a boneyard Bronco 9" with a Trac Loc diff which I later found out was too long, I researched about getting the rear end narrowed to meet my needs, pricing to do it was too much for me at this time. I asked Kabwe how he did his and he provided the necessary info to encourage me to narrow mine. Well here is the result. I took out a total of 7" and centered the pinion.
With axles it will now be 58" wide.

I made then off the oringinal motor mounts and used a NoLimit trans crossbar with poly bushing. I'm going to replace the bushings in the motor mounts soon to poly.

I sold the other truck and made my orginal purchase $$$$ back.

Not really free, all the parts I had to source, plus getting it titled in California was not easy, I had the CHP do the VIN inspection of the frame which was good and they gave me a stamp where the orginal VIN was. I still have a bunch more dollars to spend on paint, interior and Wheels.

That bike is about 22 years old, it was my nephew's then handed down to my son who is 20 now and I still have it in the shed, it's a Mongoose.

I just found a vid of when I rebuilt the top end and started it up for the first time. It needed to be tuned then and now because I know have a FAST 92mm intake and throttle body. This was taken with my HP digital camera, that's why the crackling is here when the motor is reved.

232, 234 duration, 590's lift on a 112 lobe. Sometime after getting it running I'll be adding a Yank of Vigalante stall, I have a Super Streetfighter 3500.

It's been awhile since I post an update on my build, well I was in a state of depression after ordering my wheels and finding out that my front wheel was not centered in the wheelwell. After talking to Kabwe here and moping he said to me "What you going to do about it? You have to fix it". He offered to come by and help me with fixing the problem cause I've never done something like this before.
So today we got to work. Take a look at the 2 pictures and you will see the difference.
