Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

I have them on my k10, should work on c10's also. One thing you need is new 7/16 lug nuts (like the ones in the pic) that have a bigger bottom, as the lug holes are for 1/2" studs. same 60* taper. the center hole is close to a stock rim.

They look good. The question remains about a stock hubcap snapping on properly. Ever tried?

oem4me--I don't have any hub caps, but the rim nubs measure about 10 1/2". only 3 nubs also. power coat looks nice, glossy and smooth. Great price on these and free shipping over $100.

I think I remember another thread discussing using trailer wheels.

Hey 61K10. I love your truck! I have a 65 burb 4x4, and have been looking for 16" steelies forever. Do you have discs brakes in the front? I do, so just wondering if these rims will clear the callipers. Thanks much!

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

they are 16x6 and do clear the calipers on a dana or 10 bolt. I have disc on my closed knuckle org dana 44. Rated at 3050# they are dot also and very well made (in the USA)

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

Well as long as hubcaps fit them, that would be great!

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

FYI. I just bought a set of these. Really nice!! The 3/4 ton (12") hubcaps fit nicely.

I also bought one of these as a spare tire for my 58, but didn't put the clips on for hubcaps

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

kchampagne....whats the inside diameter of your caps. Our C10 caps have an I.D. of 10 1/8. I was hoping that they would fit. Your caps look like 67-72?

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

Rideblue00,.the 1/2 ton caps will not work ( unless you macgyver some type of a clip setup instead of using the nubs). The 3/4 ton 12" caps that were originally used on 16" rims work nice.

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

1/2 tons dont use clips on 15" rims. Im hoping to use 1/2 ton nub style caps on these rims. I have a C10 and a C20 and my 20 uses clips on my 16.5 split rims. Both my caps have the same inner diameter. Only diff is C20 cap is clip style. I thought that all 64-66 caps were same diameter.

Re: 16" wheels ? (linky)

The inside diameter of my 67-72 caps is approximately 11 5/8". 60-66 1/2 tons did use clip-style caps on 15" rims. See http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=702839

You could retrofit the clip-style caps on these 16" rims if you did something like post #50 on the above link or something like this:
