Edit - I should stipulate, this is a 1959 Fleetside.

1) I've got this ridiculously tired looking spring right above my brake master cylinder, but can't seem to find anyone that sells a replacement. Anyone know who sells one and what it's called?

2) Is this parking brake a common setup? Every parking brake cable I see in catalogs just says front or rear, but some list floor and none seem to specifically list this handle setup.

3) Replacement seat covers - none of them seem to come for split bench seats like my truck has. Given that it was a farm truck I assumed these were original, but were they? And if so, are they really that uncommon that there wouldn't be replacement covers? How hard would it be to replace the seat back (or entire seat) with a seat with one piece cushions (one back, one seat etc)?

There is a universal brake pedal spring available at any parts store. The emergency brake handle is correct. The front cable hooks to it & goes underneath to the rear cables on 1/2 tons. Some larger trucks have a band on the rear of the trans. That seat is not factory. You will need a seat from a salvage to be the right one.

On my 59 the stock e brake has a rod that goes from the handle thru the firewall to a pivot mounted on top of the frame rail. A cable is attached with a clevis that goes down the frame rail to a pulley then to the lever arrangement under the bed. I am not using any of the stock stuff from the cab or front frame, you can have it for the cost of shipping if your is missing. Wrench bender beat me on the spring and seat, spring is also available from Ace, Lowes, etc in the custom hardward pull out section.

I'd have to agree with Wrenchbender ret, that looks like one of the universal springs (almost looks like a screen door spring) that someone stuck on at some time to help pull the pedal back up where it belonged.

I'm a little confused, so is that spring not a stock part of the brake assembly? Is the master cylinder designed to provide all the push-back necessary?

I think what he is saying that the original spring was replaced by a spring from a screen door. I can measure up a stock spring and let you know how long it shuould be.

The seat you have looks to be from a panel truck. You could replace is with a regular seat that covers are available for. Panel seats are hard to come by so don't just give it away.
