Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Well, I'm in my second year of college(19 years old) and I drove my dads 68 gmc for a year and a half til I got my 98. My brother also drove it to high school before me. As you can see in my sig, we've added a few more vehicles since then. I'm slowly building my 72 as time permits when I'm home, so it should be done by the end of college(hopefully this summer).

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
High schooler here, my truck is almost ready to be a daily driver, just need to replace the wheels and do a little brake work. Me on the other hand, thanks to a couple elective surgeries and a broken arm, I still need to get my license

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Was working on 67-72's when I was in highschool, but never had one done enough to drive. Now I'm in college, and I drive the ol' girl every day to and from class.
Every one recognizes it - was even at a party, and once guy came up and said to me, "I knew you were here because I saw your truck, I just didn't know who you were." Plus, the chicks dig it. -Sam.

I just graduated high school last year but I drove my truck every day since April of 07. I had the oldest and loudest vehicle at my school.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I'm 16, own 3 trucks, I usually drive my 84 daily, but it's off the road at the moment. I'm parting out my 72 and 68 if anyone needs parts. And I'm about to paint my 84 desert tan. Cant believe Lucky hasn't chimed in yet.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Same here, the first two weeks with it were a shock and I had a surprising amount of people complimenting it. Paint and body work this summer along with a rattle can rebuild on the motor (and heads if I can save up enough). The motor runs great, just looks like crap.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
When I was a senior ('65), to have driven a truck as old as these would have found me in a 38-43 year-old vehicle (1923-27). At that time, nobody wanted to drive anything that old. You guys have a lot more streetable stuff to choose from than we did. But, I did want a T-bucket then.....still do. It's just that I'd have to have a Plus-size T-bucket to have one that fit.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Couldn't miss a chance to chime in on this topic! Senior here, trucks going to become my daily at the start of April after my enigne swap. Just got my new wheels in today. Funny thing is, a year ago at this time I was saying the same thing, "yeah guys! I'll be driving the truck after spring break in April!" Here I am a year later, and am finally at that point.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Here's the one my youngest son drove to high school, and it is why I bought mine. His is gone. Mine is disassembled. The second pix is one that was sent to me by the new owner, who lives in Ft. Worth.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Hello all, Nice Trucks!!
Im 18 and I have been driving my '70 LWB to school since my junior year. I dont park in the lot at school, a friend of mine lives across the street so I park there for the day. I bought it the summer before my sophomore year for $200 and worked on it through 10th and midway through 11th. Everyone rags on me because its 4X4 and I dont drive it in the winter, but hey, they didnt spend the $7,000 bucks to restore it!! Mine is by far the most powerful vehicle in the lot except for one diesel that is insane, and it is definetly the oldest! Come graduation day this May, im gonna park in the lot, and when we get out, Im gonna leave a big ol patch of black in the lot, and bark the pipes all the way home!!

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
knew a guy with a ford ranger that he thought was pretty hot and saw him randomly at our public library, so i stopped the truck in the middle of the parking lot and laid a big patch of rubber to show off and as i left there was this old man getting into his truck that turned around and clapped for me- true story
