Re: LH 69-72 Fender

Was that your trim?

Hey Rob, I ended up deciding to pass on Macungie. Very hard decision. I'm busy with work yet money got tight due to a few things. Only one solution for that... work! I'm helping a friend/member (yes, I have two!) in Highspire, PA, which is right about 1/2 way between. I had a plan to work there Friday, cut out early for Macungie, camp there, see the show on Sat, and go back to Highspire that evening. But this is a side job that has been drawn out due to 6 rainy weekends and I need to get my weekends freed up!

Re: LH 69-72 Fender

That was a ridiculously good deal. Funny to see going down the road I bet. I got a few things out of it, but Jason got a hoard. You can see his truck is loaded down a bit. You should have seen what all he managed to stuff in the back seat of that leather interior! I think I rode with parts on my lap and under my seat. We had to wear hubcaps as hats because we ran out of room

So thoughtful.

I sold a 56 Nomad project to a guy in Maryland. When he left here that wagon was packed like a sardine can and his truck was loaded. No pictures though, so I guess it didn't happen.

Now somebody buy this crap so I can leave them an inheritance! (What was it I was selling?)

And here is a picture of that fender again to show being for sale really is hapPENING! Ha Ha! I haven't had time, but maybe today I'm going to see if I can't get the rest of the paint off (the outside) to clearly show it's condition. I'll get the others out for individual pictures, too.

Re: LH 69-72 Fender

Didn't get a chance yet to finish stripping. I figured people could see how good it is as it sits. I have other passenger fenders and some of those I will strip, too, if they aren't original paint.

Re: LH 69-72 Fender

I got the fender down to bare metal. It's raining now, but I want to get it out and show pictures. Nice fender and I have at least one other of each design ('67, '68 Chevy/68-72 GMC, and 69-72 Chevy) from driver side... $125

Re: LH 69-72 Fender

Well, still never got pictures of that fender stripped bare. I forgot about taking it to the truck show and the fall Carlisle events. I lost my camera, too. Still bare with no surface rust starting in all those months. Got a call from a fellow member in PA looking for such a fender (because the repro he bought is 'that' bad) and as of Friday it has been SOLD!

I sold a lot of the stuff in pictures I showed for sake of entertainment (cheap plug is what it really was) but still have a couple passenger doors (1-'67 & 1-'72) and drivers fenders ('68 Chevy/GMC). My daughter gave me a camera but I don't have the charger yet. I'll start a thread when I can get pictures.
