Another 1/25 scale Blazer model coming soon

This time a reissue of MPC’s snap together 1975 K5 Blazer. This will look nice on shelf next to the 1972 Blazer that was just reissued.

You can get yours here….

Yep. Do you think getting the 84 GMC truck kit to bash with this one would work for more detail?? I'll be getting a couple at least.

Re: Another 1/25 scale Blazer model coming soon

I bet it would made a decent donor for pieces. The suspension of the re-released 84 GMC “Fall Guy” is a pretty cheesy lift kit but looks good for a model I guess.

Speaking of the ‘84 GMC, I finally got back to working on the kit that I have been pushing around the desk for over a year. All that is left is to finish up the engine detail. It is pretty kit bashed itself with an ’88 – ‘98’ sportside bed (fits nice too), a LS1 engine from a Firebird model and a set of aftermarket Superswamper tires. It got sprayed the late model GM pewter color by using Dupli-color and ton of clear coat. It sits a little low in the back but good enough for shelf cruising.

I also dug out an old ‘81 Chevy stepside 4x4 that I built about 15 years ago for a family photo. It is based on the same tooling as pretty much all the AMT 73-87 models. You can tell the ’81 is starting to show it’s age with all the molding color coming through on the chrome pieces.
