Sleeve bags on trailing arm question

Ive got 2 new sleeve bags that I was planning to run in place of the coil springs on my 64.
Ive searched the suspension forum but cant find pics of sleeve bags used in stock coil location on TA's.

The most I need to haul is few hundred pounds...coolers,,chairs..wifes junk

Id like to see a few pics of how you guys did yours.

Do I need cups?
Do I need limit straps?

Ive never used sleeve bags but was told they ride so much better..?!

Thanks

Re: Sleeve bags on trailing arm question

Well mine is a 72' C10 and I used the ECE kit, but here are some pics of my set up, I just drilled out the upper hole from the coil retainer and ran the bolt through the TA on the bottom. I am not using limiting straps, I just have "lowered" (shorter) shocks on mine and havent had a problem in the 6+ years Ive been running this set up.

Re: Sleeve bags on trailing arm question

What size are those bags?
They look much bigger than the 9000 style sleeve bags I have. Unless its just weird illusuion.

Re: Sleeve bags on trailing arm question

I think they are larger, Ill have to look up which bags they are, they are Firestone though.... They came in the ECE kit, they are set up to lower the truck and still retain the payload/towing capabilities of the truck.
