I just got a new frame with the factory 5x5 lug front disc brakes but missing the calipers and I was wondering is there any way to mount 4 piston calipers to the stock 11.84in discs or would the single piston be better in price and performance?

I don't think the 4 piston calipers will fit but I for sure know the single piston will not out perform the four piston. Contact Boris at Street Machinery and he can fix you up.

I inquired with Boris about some adapters to run a 2000 Vette Caliper on a stock truck rotor and was told it might be something in the future ...

thanks, I may get that summer next year, but right now I have 6 months to get the truck ready for my local autocross events and still have the floor to be replaced, frame/radiator support/axel housing to be powder coated, install the cab on the new frame, rewire the entire truck, wheels and tires, rear brakes, ring and pinion plus spider gears to be sent off for heat treating, find a long bed, get some driveshafts built, get a new custom cam built, and install the 540 and 400/gearvendors all before the second Saturday of April.

The most economical upgrade to the stock caliper is the Wilwood D52 replacement. Several of our forum Vendors sell them at a reasonable price.

But would it work with the factory size brakes or the Corvette ones?

The 71 chevy truck caliper is a D-52 and they are a direct replacement. You can buy the pads locally if you want. The bigger rotors will not fit on a stock spindle from all my searching I have done.
The only way to get a bigger brake up front is buying a new set of spindles. Are have some one fab up whatever you need.

I am looking for a caliper bracket to bolt on a either Corvette 4 piston calipers or a aftermarket one because the size of the rotor is large enough for the budget minded builder, and with the stock calipers I`ll be running EBC greenstuff pads.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
