Re: Will these axles work in my 65 c-10?

If your differential is an original '64 12 bolt then these axles won't work without switching the spider gears to 30 spline gears. The '63 & '64 12 bolts had 17 spline axles and spider gears.

Re: Will these axles work in my 65 c-10?

That would be correct.....unless someone has already changed them or the complete differential within the last 45 years.

Re: Will these axles work in my 65 c-10?

What about just swapping the complete '72 differential, or is the increased width not going to work for you?

Re: Will these axles work in my 65 c-10?

I need the narrow rear and my 72 rear needs gone through and has an anemic 3.78 rear and open where I have 3.73 lsd factory.

Re: Will these axles work in my 65 c-10?

If your '64 has the factory limited slip for the 17 spline axles, then you might have to change the whole carrier. I'm not positive but I don't think the 30 spline side gears will work in place of the 17 spline gears.

I would suggest verifying exactly what is in your '64 12 bolt to start with, and then go from there.
