Re: This is what happens when.
lol,....yep, some of the payload hero stories and comparisons are always fun to read.
There are a few people out there who constantly daily put their truck to the tow/haul test...but I'm not one of them. My daily driver is a 2005 Silverado/HD2500/Duramax and it has everything (and more) than I'll ever need. On a daily basis I'm lucky to have a couple of bags of groceries and a six pack of beer in the back.....let alone 20,000 lbs of beast gear. My '72 1/2 ton...is the same.....light duty by modern standards, but okay duty by mine. Its sort of like the horsepower stories, comparisons and bravado.....then behind the scenes, most guys are using (on average) about 80-150hp, 90% of the time around town, lol. That super max 500+hp is mostly for parking lot chats...which is a bit ironic, lol. The way I view it, is if you have that much power then make sure you put your track/1/4 mile time sheets in the window so I can attribute that power to something....lol. What's the old saying, don't tell me....show me, lol Oh well.....to each his own. C.
