L31 vortec 96-03 5.7L timing ?

truck info : L31 engine new / holley sniper efi system / th400 / 4.10 gears / 33" tires .

what is the best all in * and also best base setting, plus any other tips ?

i have a replacement new gm L31 with a msd dist . i can set both mech limits and vac limits .

trying to figure this out to get me real close so i dont have to play to much with it once its in the truck .

I believe it’s something like 8 initial and 32 total

Past experience says 32* total. I don't remember what the initial was.....probably around 10-12*

10* initial 32* total is correct.
