Re: Project two tone.

Glad to see you got the carrier and tire mounted. They take awhile to get used too, but I really enjoy mine. Especially when I lost a tire stem a few weeks back in the rain. Made the spare tire change in NASCAR time.

Thanks! Yeah I am used to mine already! Love the looks of it also. I am able to fit up to 30 inch tires, which I am currently running, if I need to. My spare is a 75 series 15 so I believe that adds to 29 inches.

LOL! Well just send me a plane ticket to get down there and I will! lol! Then I can see the truck while I am at it!!!! Yeah, The gals I know around here are brought up using wood stoves....so wood splitting for them is nothing new....cause they know if they don't help they don't get heat...and if they don't get heat the house is sure gonna be cold during the winter! lol!

Ain't that the truth, lol. I hauled that 1/2 cord of wood (150 bucks, not a bad deal round my parts up here) and ol' Abby just cruised on down the road like it were nothin, heh heh heh. Now we just need to get you one of those step bumpers like my truck has T.J.

I actually need to find the grab bars that go on the back by the tailgate. Just got the spotlight installed, took a minute, but it works and looks good, pictures to follow soon

Re: Project two tone.

Cool that you got your spot light on! I found a unity spot light for $30 on ebay....think of a future purchase. Gonna do the cab marker lights and a single spot light.

Update...haven't done much on the truck. Been snowing here so the truck is tarped and covered. Gonna replace the valve cover gasket again an re-adjust the rocker arms. Also gotta find out the issue with my wiper motor. Update will come and pictures to follow! Thinking of havin a little fun with it on the ice! lol!!!

Re: Project two tone.

Okey small update.....some of ya'all have probably listened to the video I posted of the truck running....well all the popping I believe is a blown head gasket...some of the plugs seemed to have a little white on this indicating antifreeze.....so.....ain't really wanting to pull the head just to put on a new gasket...but then I don't want to ruin the motor either....lol! Decisions decisions and more decisions!!! lOL!

Re: Project two tone.

Yea it's better to be on the safe side. Head gasket is a lot cheaper than a new motor.

Nice hitch. What issues are you having with the wiper motor? Mine wouldn't park and I found the problem.....ground missing on the case

Thanks, My issue is that the motor is extremely slow and sometimes works and other times doesn't. Either some bad wiring or a worn out motor. It is a two speed motor and on the second speed you hardly notice a difference. It's just old and worn. LOL!

Re: Project two tone.

Just replaced my wiper motor the other day, fluid pump solenoid went out on my old one, and I drilled out the screws on the new one to bolt it to the firewall so it stays in place. Works smoothly and quiet! Now I just need to re-do the fluid tubing and it's set. Word to the wise: if you bolt your wiper motor in, three 1/4-20's or 1/4-28's about 2 1/2 inches or around that area will work. I forgot what length mine were and have some excess left but it's not interferring with the wiper arms in the windadge tray. Hope all goes goo with the install of the hitch and hopefully the head isn't too much of a painstaking task T.J.

Thanks...the hitch should be fairly easy..I already got some of the brackets on. I'll keep everyone posted. I am going to work! LOL! See ya.
