Duel exhaust 67 K10

I am converting my 67 K10 long bed from a 6cyl to an 8cyl. I want to use duel exhaust. I am open to using either headers or rams horns manifolds. Is there anyone that sells a reasonably priced fuel exhaust system for a 67 K10 with the Rockwell transfer case? I checked with Heart throb, theirs went fit the Rockwell. I haven't found anything on the web. Thanks John

Re: Duel exhaust 67 K10

I used the DIY kit from LMC, glass packs and side exit. It bolted-up to my factory ram horn manifolds.

It has the bends to clear the axle and everything.

One hiccup though, if I pass the passenger side pipe above the transfer case drop (mine's an NP205) it would come really close to the fuel line where it exits the cab, so I got a few extra bends from auto zone to drop it under the t-case. not sure if a rockwell would have a similar issue.

So, overall, it's not perfect, could be better, but I have about 5 years and 10,000 miles with no problems.

You can kinda see the passenger side pipe in this photo, it hangs down a bit, so like I said, not ideal. but I guess at the root, it's a fuel line issue, not an exhaust issue???

These guys were awesome. Father and son, working together. They gave me a better price, than anyone, and did perfect work. I had custom exhaust installed, and their attention to detail, was incredible. At first glance, the building was not …More

5 star business & people. John n Tony, the best. My muffler popped & Tony fixed it in 10 min. A true honest professional. He still helped a man with knowledgeable information on the best way to go for straight pipes for his truck. Not to mention the information he shared with me. This is a above n beyond group of Guy's. 5 *****

LMC uses Heartthrob. So that won't work. Closest muffler shop is about 20 miles away. Kind of far to run open headers. LOL

I use full length headers and what I do is have a shop bend an offset into two 5' lengths and weld the bells on. I can get a picture, always have a pair handy. The offset will get it over the transfer case crossmember and I just stick the mufflers on to get it to the shop and they take it from there

That is a good idea.

Just curious, why won't the Heart throbs (I'm assuming those are conventional style mufflers) NOT work with the Rockwell? Would they work with an NP205?

My glass packs are just slightly larger than the OD of my pipes, 2.25" pipes, maybe 3" or 3.25" OD on the glass packs, and they are located after the t-case, before the rear axle.
