Side fill gas tank

Has anybody used a side fill tank and made it top fill? I have a side fill tank but I was wondering if I can make it top fill so I can have the fuel door close to the bed side so it will kind of hidden

Re: Side fill gas tank

I had side fill tanks and didnt want to cut holes in my bed and have the doors, I moved the filler necks to the rear and welded patches where the filler necks were, I fill them in the front of the wheels on each side, I put a can over each of the filler neck/gas cap,to keep them clean from crap being thrown from the tires.I removed my seat tank and had a filler piece welded in the cab before i had it painted, looks awesome, the fill necks are hidden
