How about this one-a Square-Body Panel!

We saw this when we on vacation in Acapulco. Clearly, a newspaper delivery truck. I wanted to try to find the owner/driver and ask about it, but my wife didn't really want to hang out on some dark side-street in Acapulco

Like I said,there were other models sold there not found in the USA. And,many features differed from ours,including drive trains. Not only were gauges labeled in Spanish,certain models even measured power by ox power rather than horsepower

I saw a Mexican C/10 [or -20] in traffic in Tucson a couple of weeks ago. The tail lights were different. It was dark, I was on my way to work and the guy had just stopped at a Circle K for gas. Couldn't tell the year. [Then even if it looked like a '72 it might be some other later year.]
On the Mexican Suburban in the above pic -- notice it has a one-piece window on door number three. My Fremont-built '67 Sub has a 5~6" solid glass panel at the rear of the door # 3 window. It is separated by a window channel much like the one on the front doors that divides the vent wing from the door window.
Also notice in Pritch's ,,Squarebody'' shot, the '73-'90 Suburban body style has a '67-'72 Fleetside rear tail light. Not the fancy US style sub tail light.
Also GM in the US stopped making panel trucks in '69 or '70, since the vans were selling so much better.

On the CL truck that started this thread. It looks like to me when they put the new wood in the bed they just laid the metal strips on top of the wood. It doesn't look the wood was cut or notched for the strips to recess down.

I'm so glad that that Ranger/F-150 clone from Brazil was never sold here. It makes me sick seeing a bowtie on that grill.

Those particular trucks are closely related to the '73-'78 style, they are much larger than a Ranger. Do look a bit like Rangers though.

Yeah,I don't know what happened there!

I guess Ford & Chevy get along better when in Mexico. They say it'll lay you back. Looks like an 88-92 F-150 to me...with GM styled steel wheels.

Did anyone notice the square body SWB is called a C10? How about the rear bumper,tailgate,and 67/68 hubcaps?

Saw a number of these in the mid eighties running around Montery, NL They were badged as DINA trucks with diesel engines and there were matching chassis cabs as well that were very common. Liked them but not enough to buy one.

I couldn't tell you,but that sounds about right. For all I know they could be 60-66s!

They're interesting and surely would be a hit if you could get your hands on one. It looks like they have different front ends...different years. Notice the fender opening? I like that 2nd one in post#42
