Cheyenne Super glovebox emblem placement

My woodgrain glovebox panel has no holes. 72 model. Can I get the measurements of the CS emblem bottom to the bottom aluminum lip (where the lip touches the woodgrain), and also the distance of the emblem from the right edge (top or bottom corner of the emblem to the start of the lip)? A few people's numbers to ensure accuracy would be appreciated. If anyone has one with the emblem removed, the hole locations (or one of them as they're 3" apart) would be most useful. Thanks.

Here ya go. Some pictures are redundant, but you don't have to look at them.

Thanks so much. And I assume these were factory original holes, right?

I took that door out of a wrecked truck in 1982. I used the woodgrain panel in another truck. Yes, the holes are correct.

Thanks again. Can anyone give me the measurements on the woodgrain aluminum panel? I can't see the holes the glovebox door once the panel is on.

I will see if I have an overlay.

You could use the measurements I gave you, drill the holes, then drop some round head rivets in the holes. Lay your panel over it and tap the rivets. That will give you the centers of the holes.

Re: Cheyenne Super glovebox emblem placement

Reviving an old thread of mine. Can anyone measure the Cheyenne Super emblem holes of an original aluminum glovebox door panel (woodgrain), so I can place my emblem properly on it? My aluminum piece has no holes yet drilled. Pictures would be most helpful.

Also, how was this emblem held in place, inserts of some type? I'm sure glue would work, but would rather not do that to the woodgrain. Thanks.

One more thing... I have an original 72 emblem, and the studs aren't measuring the same distance apart as the pictures above. Mine are right at 3" apart between the 3 studs. Can anyone confirm? Maybe they were spaced differently on different years??
