Heh, when I installed a new harness for the trailer (was 5-wire) that's what all the wiring looked like around the rear of the truck. There were a ton of those inline splices U-Haul puts in to hook up a trailer harness, if you don't have one. But his is a Custom Camper and had the harness right there. 47 years ago, who knows what anyone was thinking? Then again, when I had the new camper shell installed, the guys ran new wires all the way to the battery. I pointed out the pigtail, where it was hanging in the bed.

Mine was not advertised as not being anything but a driver. As I have scoured over it, I have not found anything not original other than the air cleaner, battery, and a few things like that. It even had the original spark plug wires still.

In the process of getting my 72 K2500 home, paid 500$ for it, found 185$ in bank envelopes spread all over the truck.

Re: Funny things you found out about your truck after you bought it....

I was missing the 5/8 wrench, and had been for a year or so, in my old Craftsman set, and then bought this truck and found the exact same one (but not mine) down in the corner of the fender when disassembling it. I emailed the guy I bought it from, and it wasn't his, so I cleaned it up and put it in my set! It looks almost exactly like the rest of the set.
