Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

Snagged a set of factory tow hooks off Ebay, the seller wasnt sure what they fit but listed them as probably being for a GM C40 thru C60 truck. Had very bad pics but I bit the bullet and hit the 79.00 Buy It Now button. I was disappointed when the box came, it was large and very heavy! Ive owned several NOS sets of rear hooks before but were always for earlier year trucks and always came in a much smaller box.
I was pleased to find the correct hooks along with large heavy spacer plates to mount them to the frame, all bolts but 1 are there and of coarse, No Instructions!! Ive looked for the correct rear hook set for years... Could this be them?

What dimensions might be different, since you have the originals?

Re: Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

Nice find Blazerman! I like the mounting plates, how do they mount to frame? I've got a set of the rear three hole hooks like yours but no mounting plates. I have been curious of how they mount to rear frame rail since the hook mounting holes are spaced wider than frame rail. Maybe this is what I'm missing.

Re: Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

Looks like tilt front hooks based on the number written on the box.

Re: Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

I think I saw those and thought they looked right. There are so many that look similar. Good find.
Here are the ones I have and the date on the instructions is 1971

Re: Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

That diagram looks like they mount on the side of frame rail, if so how do you mount the rear bumper? The rear bumper brackets would be in that area of the frame, if I'm reading it right. Please advise

Re: Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

These look like they mount inside the frame rail and bring the hooks out to clear the bottom rail. Sure wish I had the instruction sheet.

Re: Rear tow hooks....The Real Deal??

Nice find. I'd like to copy those mounting brackets. I have a pair of factory hooks but that's it. Mine have a GM part# embossed on them.
