I am looking for some wheels that will raise my truck an inch or two... Does anyone know what the biggest size wheels and tires you can stick on a 72 without having to change anything? And what are some good looking wheels that would look good on this truck?

What are you running now? You could go with a 255/85/16 which will lift you up a bit but still remain skinny enough to turn

Not sure what they are now. I just bought the truck and they have a later date rally wheel on it.

You should be able to run a 33" tire with no problem with no lift. I would use an 8" wheel so either a 33 10.5 15 if you stay with 15's (I would go to 16's or 17's personally). A 265 75 16 or a 265 70 17 is a 32" inch tire. Would work good on an 8" rim.

A 255 85 16 would work as well and would be a little narrower and a little taller (33" 10.5 16" effectively)

Personally I like old school rim designs. I like the Alcoa style rims or a Centerline in that same. I put the American Racing black teflon wheel on my Duramax (the one with the 8 big holes in it) which I like.

Sounds like you need tires not wheels. Wheels do nothing for ride height. That's in the suspension and tire diameter. You can get 33s on there, as mentioned, so 12.50s or 10.50s will go on your rallyes. Freshen those up and you have a good looking wheel that's hard to beat at 3x the cost

255/85/16 on a stock steel rim will only measure 32 inches tall installed, less on a wider rim.

This is a good idea! And you might think of some longer close ended type lug nuts that not only look better but when you need to change a tire you can actually reach them with your lug wrench without having to take the center cap off. Roadside anger sux.
