600 holley stumble

I have a holley 600 on my 327 engine. I rebuilt the carb and it runs fine except when I give it gas quick it stumbles real bad. I adjusted the floats and the idle screws. The accelerator pump moves as soon as I move the throttle.

Did you use an adjustable power valve?

Re: 600 holley stumble

I searched and I cannot find an Adjustable one.
Maybe they discontinued them.

I drove to Quick Fuel in Bowling Green, KY years ago.

They help me fix my Carb.

They do not have good reveiws now

The power valve and jets were my biggest issue.

Do you have a vaccum secondary?

They still make those .
I used one of those also.

It took some time to tune these in right.

Re: 600 holley stumble

1st Check your pump squirter size and the pump cam. Then check the spring in the secondary vacuum can.
go up from say a 25 to 28 or 31.
2nd check ur pump cam color & position.
