Jimmy bedside dent help

A month or two ago I had a mishap with a swing away spare tire carrier on my 70 jimmy and it dented my passenger side bedside. I took it to the paintless dent guy and he said he can only work on it of he can get in between the panels to use his tool. Its a cst and I have removed the interior panel but my question is...are there an inner and out panel on the bedsides? Sure seems like it may be but I didnt know where to check. I removed the tail light lenses but did not remove the inner bucket to see if it was two panels or not. Does anybody know?

There is a inner and outer wall... the tail light bucket still has a plate behind it that the bucket bolts to... guess it depends on where the dent is... i have some loose bedsides if you want pics of anything

Re: Jimmy bedside dent help

Thanks for the info. I suppose we could drill a hole in the plate behind the bucket to get to the dent. My dent is near the rear side marker. I need to pull that out as well and check access.

Re: Jimmy bedside dent help

need a pic of the dent area, but could be accessable via side marker or back up light

or wheelhouse, but you may have to build a cover for the accesshole

Re: Jimmy bedside dent help

Plenty of ways to get in... Taillight/reverse light area, through side marker hole, or last pic is bottom up

Re: Jimmy bedside dent help

I've had success with inflating a football if it fits behind a panel to get most of the dent out. Probably not possible with this but who knows.

Re: Jimmy bedside dent help

Thanks for the football idea, that gave me an idea. I had been at menards before and saw an inflatable air bag that looked to be small enough to fit in the side marker opening.....well, I bought it and today I got around to trying it.. Started inflating it and....pop, it came out (most of it) Ill need to play around a little bit more but night and day difference. I'll have to post a pic later.
