81-87 base model

I got an 87 parts truck with white mirrors but chrome front bumper and I’ve come across painted mirrors before on a set of supposed suburban doors from a 91 manual mirrors not the hideous power ones. How long was the white bumper and mirrors available I can’t say I’ve ever seen a 81-87 with a white bumper anywhere around town or even on the computer.

My 82 has white mirrors. They should be available all the way to 91 on 'work truck' type one tons and 'burbs.
White bumpers, I cannot say that I have seen one after 81, but I really haven't looked. I know my base level 81 GMC came with a chrome bumper.

You could skim through these and figure it out.

Re: 81-87 base model

My 91 had white mirrors with chrome grille and quad headlights. Strange.

Re: 81-87 base model

Don't quote me, but I recall reading somewhere that chrome front bumpers were made standard for the 1982 model year.

As for the mirrors...not sure. I used to have an '84 base model Chevy with the white mirrors.
