will this '67 rear end gear swap to my '50?

Was at the pick-a-part and came across a '67 C20 with a 10bolt. Quick glance it appeared to be 4.10, could be the 4.5 but I'm doubting it. Would this pumpkin swap into my '50 3800 9bolt? Click hyperlinks to see pics if my photo attachments didn't work.

Looks like an Eaton rear, ho52? My understanding is that is the one to get the chunk out of. I got one not long ago from a 67/72 that was being scrapped. 4.11 should be much better than the 5.13s and then—— be sure to sell the 5.13s to a 4x4 guy as they want to go the opposite of us.

I wonder would my ho72 hub on my '50 fit this eaton axle. Don't know if they are interchangeable like that?

I'm not sure about 3800s but on my 3100 the rear end was 62 inches. Wheels off, drums on.

I have a c10 10 bolt that measures 64 inches. If you use c10 stock wheels and tires the tirea will probably stick out a tad, they will on mine if I do. Either get offset wheels or smaller rims. I talked to a guy on the HAMB who use a c10 rear and bought 16x5 rims. All tires were inside fenders

Gents he just wants to swap the pumpkin as fourspeewagon answered to. You have to have the correct Eaton donor and that was his question, is that the correct Eaton donor.

I'm not sure I would want to be wrestling with it under that truck the way they have the stands under the control arms in the photo though. That looks like a bad accident waiting to happen. The stands are safe on soft ground but the they way they put them under the truck is a bit shaky.

Make sure that there isn't a bunch of slack in the ring and pinion though. A lot of old trucks have pretty well worn out rear ends under them. You don't want to get it out and then find that it is worn out. I'd pull the rear cover and make sure what gear ratio it had before even thinking about doing anything else though. Wrong ratio or looks bad inside, bolt the cover back and hunt some more.
