Are the modern "quiet" pumps really quiet?

Edelbrock has a "whisper" pump and the Holley Dominator pump is advertised as silent as well, but can you really still mount one under a CAB and not hear it?

Older pumps are loud as heck and I wind up running pump RPM controllers and so on. But if the modern EFI ones are quiet...
